Family Advocate - Enhanced Visitation
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the FRC Director, the Enhanced Visitation/Family Advocate (FA) supports the development and implementation of the Family Resource Center (FRC). The FA is responsible for conducting intake and screening, providing relevant information and materials, and making referrals as needed. Acting as a liaison between families and local service providers, the FA helps connect clients with targeted family support programs. This includes assisting families in accessing resources through City agencies, local businesses, and community-based organizations. The FA supervises visits with at least one family per week (up to six hours) for Enhanced Visitation services provided through HAS, participates in outreach at resource fairs, and develops, organizes, and facilitates parent education classes and workshops. Additionally, the FA establishes strong working relationships with local organizations and maintains a comprehensive database of community resources. Working collaboratively with other FRC staff, the FA employs case management strategies to address the holistic needs of families.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete and submit all required paperwork accurately and on time as specified by the contract, FRC Director or Associate Director.
- Maintain accurate documentation of visits, activities, and other reports as required by the court, HSA, or program protocols.
- Complete all mandatory safety training modules (Talent LMS safety training and Y-USA e-Learning) before the first shift.
- Produce monthly and quarterly reports of individual services and data entry.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and implement Family Service Plans using various intervention methods and techniques.
- Manage a caseload of 10 families (or as specified by the contract) and maintain a minimum of 32 unduplicated families per year.
- Provide Enhanced Visitation (EV) services by supervising visits between foster youth and their families. Supervise a minimum of 3 visits per week including coordinating with all the interested parties. Complete necessary documentation and reports under the guidance of the Client Service Manager.
- Plan, develop, and facilitate parent–child interactive activities or perinatal activities to strengthen parental skills and readiness. Implement weekly outreach, parent education and engagement. Conduct parent education workshops, groups, and classes. Engage in outreach activities for groups and maintain documentation of these activities.
- Attend staff meetings and training as required. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to parent education initiatives.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This role operates in a dynamic, community-focused environment, requiring on-site presence at the Family Resource Center and frequent interactions with families, staff, and community partners. Occasional nights and weekends may be needed to meet program demands, with physical requirements including regular sitting, standing, walking, occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds, and participation in community outreach and off-site meetings.

Salary Description
The Family Advocate/Enhanced Visitation position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.00 – $26.00/ Hour based on qualifications and experience. The hourly rate meets benchmark standards and is in accordance with grant requirements.
