[Fall/Winter 2026-2027] High School Cheer Assistant Coach

About the role

The High School Cheer Assistant Coach will support the DREAM Charter High School cheerleading program. This position is part-time and seasonal, focusing on school year activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the lead cheer coach in planning and executing cheer routines
• Work closely with students to develop their skills and confidence
• Ensure safety protocols are followed during practices and competitions
• Communicate effectively with parents and other staff members

Requirements

• Experience in cheerleading coaching or related field
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Passion for supporting young athletes

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Current First Aid/CPR certification

Skills

• Excellent leadership and motivational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Knowledge of cheerleading techniques and choreography
