Fall Internship Opportunity at Includ(Ed)

About the role

This summer internship offers a unique opportunity for college students or pre-professionals pursuing careers in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, Early Childhood Education, or Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Support teachers and therapists in implementing inclusive, play-based learning activities.
• Aid in individual and small-group interventions, including speech, OT, and music therapy sessions.
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate play and learning experiences.
• Create and organize classroom materials and visual supports.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to discussions around child development and inclusion practices.
• Collaborate with therapists and educators to observe and learn therapeutic techniques and teaching strategies.
• Support children with and without disabilities in accessing the preschool day.

Qualifications

• Current college student or pre-professionals interested in pursuing a degree in OT, Speech Therapy, Music Therapy, Education, Special Education, Child Development, or related fields.
• Passion for inclusive education and working with young children.
• Reliable, flexible, and eager to learn.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Experience with children is a plus but not required.
