Fall Internship - Audience Development

About the Role

FloSports is the leading digital platform for underserved sports, combining live and on-demand streaming, original programming, data, and technology to help sports grow their audiences and build sustainable businesses, from youth to professional levels. The Audience Development Fall Interns will play an important part in covering college football, volleyball, grappling, wrestling, and other sports.

• Project-based work with specific goals that can be added to your portfolio
• Advanced training on how to implement and execute a successful SEO-centric content strategy
• Crafting and creating a coverage strategy for college football, college basketball, and more
• Dedicated supervisor/mentor to guide and challenge you throughout the program
• Learn the ins and outs of an OTT sports media company

This internship is available from September to January, seeking a minimum availability of 20-25 hrs/week. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Create content that engages fans, markets live events, tells compelling stories, and enhances the brand
• Do a bit of everything in digital media – writing, editing, SEO research, social media with on-camera opportunities
• Build content based on current and historical trends around our events, breaking news, or using trends data to create evergreen content
• Learn basic, intermediate, and advanced SEO search strategy, techniques, and how to implement them in content
• Work collaboratively to support goals of the FloSports Content team
• Must be available from August to May
• Keep flexible schedules to work weekend events
• Hit deadlines and anticipate when a deadline won’t be met

Requirements

• Knowledge of Google Trends and how to navigate it (a plus)
• Experience in writing content with basic editing skills
• Familiarity with AP Style and Chicago Style
• Experience in Google Docs, PowerPoint, Excel, or Google Sheets
• Ability to take direction and create content across multiple sports
• Highly motivated to learn more about the world of digital sports content production

Pay

$18/hour
