Fall International Affairs Intern

Primary Responsibilities

  • Aid the International Affairs team in New York and Washington, DC with daily tasks such as monitoring global news and social media, preparing digests and policy memos, and fact-checking.
  • Maintain and update databases to support ongoing projects.
  • Conduct research and write reports to assist with project needs.
  • Assist with event planning and updating contact lists.
  • Provide support to other members of the International Affairs team.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Passion for non-profit work
  • Strong desire to build a career in the non-profit sector
  • Commitment to ADL’s global mission
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated research skills
  • Proficiency in office software and social media
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
  • A working knowledge of a language other than English is a plus
  • Experience with remote and/or international work is preferred
  • Familiarity with issues related to antisemitism and global affairs is preferred
  • Majoring or minoring in Political Science, International Relations, History, Jewish Studies, Area Studies, or related subjects is preferred
  • Collaborative team-player
  • Creative and innovative; takes initiative and results-oriented

Benefits

The internship is up to 15 hours per week. This internship is paid local minimum wage or 15/hr (whichever is higher).

Schedule

This internship is hybrid, with on-site presence required in New York City OR Washington, D.C., depending on the location of the selected candidate.
