Fall Intern, Publicity - Part - Time

What You'll Do

• Assist the Publicity team with day-to-day communications initiatives and media relations efforts focused heavily on sports, news and talk programming.
• Monitor and track media coverage across print, broadcast, digital and social platforms.
• Compile regular media coverage reports, press recaps and communications metrics.
• Conduct research on media outlets, journalists, industry trends and competitive activity.
• Help develop and maintain targeted media lists and editorial calendars.
• Aid in drafting and proofreading press materials, including press releases, media alerts, and reporter pitches.
• Assist with media events, interviews, press announcements and other communications activities.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and cross-functional collaboration.
• Perform other duties as required.

What You'll Need

• Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university (MBA students graduating by September 2027 are preferred) and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.
• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Broadcasting, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in media, storytelling, and the evolving communications landscape.
• Passion for sports and news, with curiosity about the media, personalities, and stories shaping both the sports and political industries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; experience with media monitoring or communications tools such as Muck Rack and Critical Mention is a plus.
• A collaborative attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
• Experience with automation and/or AI tools such as chatGPT, Gemini.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
