Responsibilities

  • Participate in exploration diamond drilling and surface exploration programs at various stages of mineral development;
  • Execute technical tasks related to core reception and logging;
  • Assist project geologists with logging of drill core;
  • Plan and execute field work consisting of prospecting, geological reconnaissance, and mapping, stripping, trenching, and channel sampling;
  • Keep databases up to date for surface exploration and diamond drilling data;
  • Compile and incorporate historical data into databases from multiple sources to improve geological interpretations and maps;
  • Provide support to supervisors to generate maps, presentations, 3D modeling updates, etc.;
  • Interact with specific contractors, participate in drill inspections;
  • Assist surveyors and field technicians in their daily tasks;
  • Participate in health & safety meetings and ensure that environmental and safety protocols are followed on the work sites.

Requirements

  • Student, currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Geological Sciences, or a related field.
  • A valid driver's license is essential.
  • Previous mining industry experience is an asset.
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, communication, and team-building abilities.
