" A Day In Your Life At MKS As an undergraduate intern at MKS Newport, you will partner with Product Marketing to support day-to-day activities of the product marketing manager for high-speed detector line. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Product Marketing Manager. You Will Make An Impact By Searching and collecting relevant market development and technical advancement of VCSELs and ethernet transceivers as directedCollecting competitive product information to help support development of marketing and pricing strategies Interaction with internal teams with various functions to help grow revenue and improve internal processesSupporting development of product training materials for sales staffCorrecting, updating and improving product web page contents and marketing collateralsSupport on other day-to-day activities as requiredTravel Requirements: None Skills You Bring Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, material sciences or relevant majorsTechnical and/or scientific knowledge learned from schoolOpen-mindedness to learning a wide range of technical and business tasksWork habits of putting consistent efforts throughout employmentOrganization skills to plan, prioritize, and close assigned tasks Communication skills to exchange information clearly both with internal and external stakeholdersData analysis, preferably in Excel Preferred Skills Microsoft 365 Computer programming Physical Demands And Working Conditions Office environment facing the screen and speaking with team players and over the phoneInteraction with internal teams and suppliers through email, calls, and meetingsProlonged periods working on a computer and reviewing data/reportsFast-paced operational environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Compensation And Benefits Hourly Pay Range: $25.00 to $31.00 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law. At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role. Benefits: MKS offers a benefits package for interns/co-ops working at least 20 hours per week, including 11 paid holidays, sick time, and 15 paid vacation days accrued on a biweekly basis.
