This program offers university and graduate students hands-on experience through project-based work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Throughout the program, Interns will have exposure to mentorship, networking, and professional development opportunities. The Mechanical Engineering internship for Strategic Systems will participate in a project involving component mechanical engineering for components of a roll control system (RCS). Responsibilities Conduct SolidWorks tasks including entry level mechanical design, drawings, data management, and creation of toolbox featuresAssist in performing integrating and collecting engineering data for basic lab-based testing Ability to machine and fabricate simple prototype test componentsAssist engineering personnel in creating PowerPoint presentations, engineering test data reduction using Excel, writing reports using Word Requirements Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; junior standing by fall 2026Strong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with SolidWorks, Ansys, and Microsoft Office toolsWorking knowledge of mathematical and statistical principles and formulasBasic knowledge of mechanical systemsAbility to travel for in-person orientation and program kickoff as well as for final presentation at program completion Preferences Previous internship, coursework, or project experience Hourly Pay Range: $23.50-$30.00 per hour Hourly rate determined by academic year, college major, line of business, geography Please click “Apply” to submit your application.
