Responsibilities
- Aid in building and maintaining WordPress websites, focusing on responsive design and user experience.
- Support the customization and development of WordPress themes and plugins using PHP and JavaScript.
- Create and integrate web forms, manage content updates, and enhance site features.
- Engage in the creation and optimization of MySQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval in WordPress applications.
- Collaborate with third-party services and APIs to improve site functionality and user experience.
- Resolve technical issues to ensure smooth website performance.
- Learn and develop proficiency in new programming languages and technologies, particularly WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Participate in code reviews, team workshops, and collaborative projects to deepen understanding of web development.
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration within the development team.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or relevant coursework in server-side development).
- Familiarity with backend programming languages such as PHP or SQL.
- An interest in server-side software engineering, databases, and API development.
- Basic problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- A basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus but not required.
