About the role

Mach Industries is a defense technology company focused on autonomous defense platforms. We are seeking an Engineering Intern to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Work on autonomous systems, including guidance, control, and navigation software for unmanned platforms
  • Develop embedded firmware and real-time software for flight and drive systems
  • Contribute to mechanical and structural design, manufacturing, and testing of hardware components
  • Engage in propulsion, energetics, or systems integration for new defense platforms
  • Support tools, infrastructure, and simulations to accelerate engineering velocity

Requirements

  • Enrollment in a BS, MS, or PhD program in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, computer science, or a related engineering discipline
  • Intellectual curiosity and the drive to own problems end-to-end
  • Genuine interest in defense technology, national security, or the future of autonomous systems

Qualifications

  • Strong academic performance in relevant fields
  • Experience with programming languages and software development tools
  • Interest in defense technology and national security

Skills

  • Programming skills in C/C++, Python, or similar languages
  • Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations.
