About the role
PCC Airfoils, LLC is seeking individuals with high personal and professional standards who will thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented work environment. This position offers an effective learning assignment and a sound intellectual and/or financial return for the PCC organization.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Apply principles learned in school to aid PCC in analysis, product improvement, and use project management techniques to plan and control projects.
- Achieve performance goals and receive progressive responsibility throughout the co-op experience.
- Attend weekly departmental meetings and take ownership and responsibility for identified projects.
- Participate on project teams for assigned projects; analyze improvements and new product or applications, and develop requirements and specifications with the team.
- Work within specifications provided to meet project goals and objectives in a timely and accurate manner.
- Participate with peers, project team members, and other departments on new product development, product line extensions, and product enhancements.
- Learn metallurgical analysis techniques and use them to solve process problems.
- Learn super-alloy chemistry and conduct analysis to understand relationships between the chemistry and casting quality.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Good writing skills and interpersonal skills
- Full-time student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in aerospace, metallurgical, material science, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering
- Minimum grade point average of 2.5 or higher
