Fall 2026 Development and Grants Intern - UNPAID

About the Role
This internship is located within the Resource Development Department, which aims to connect the community with the IRC to secure financial, in-kind, and volunteer resources for clients. The Development & Grants Intern will collaborate with the Resource Development VISTA and Director of Development to enhance the IRC's ability to meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research to identify potential grant and community donation opportunities.
- Support the Grants Management Specialist in ensuring accurate and up-to-date data across relevant databases.
- Compile and analyze program data for grant writing and research purposes.
- Collaborate with the Grants Management Specialist to coordinate with the finance and management teams in the development of grant applications.
- Develop and submit donation applications to secure resources for IRC programs.
- Aid in various Resource Development tasks, including community engagement, external communications, event planning, and fundraising efforts.
- Represent the organization at community events, networking functions, and recruitment activities alongside the Resource Development team.
- Participate actively in staff meetings and contribute to special staff development programs.

Qualifications
- Minimum commitment of 15 hours a week for at least three months.
- Hybrid position based in Tallahassee, FL, reporting to the Resource Development VISTA.
