About the role
Packaging Corporation of America (PCA), a Fortune 500 company, is seeking a Finance Co-op for our DeRidder, LA Paper Mill. This role supports our corrugated packaging and white paper businesses by assisting with financial tasks and collaborating across departments to ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Assist in completing required fixed asset audits.
- Collaborate and support procurement and accounting departments.
- Ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with generally accepted accounting policies (GAAP) and principles.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Business major, preferably Accounting or Finance.
- Broad understanding of accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
- Must be a student in good standing with the University, having completed the Sophomore year or will have completed it when the co-op begins.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Project.
- Successful completion of drug screen required and authorization to work in the U.S.
- A minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.

Pay
- Salary Range: $30.00/hr for Seniors, $29.00/hr for Juniors, and $27.00/hr for Sophomores.
- Overtime pay at 1.5 times the hourly rate for hours worked over 40 in a week.
- Reimbursement of relocation expenses to and from the co-op assignment.
