About the role
Responsible for directly tutoring individuals by asking and answering questions and demonstrating examples relating to the subject.
Responsibilities
- Tutor all students in any setting, including college-level academic transfer courses.
- Ask and answer academic questions, using examples relating to a particular subject.
- Provide analytic and diagnostic services for students increasing affective work results.
- Process new students assuring individuals’ learning needs are met.
- Provide support services required during semester.
- Evaluate and recommend tutoring materials.
- May assist in tracking student performance.
Qualifications
- Same credential as required to teach in the subject area (Photocopy of transcript must accompany application).
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience in the related academic subject area.
Skills
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Well organized, task-oriented, and flexible.
- Good interpersonal skills to perform successfully in a large multicultural environment.
- Able to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends.
