About the Role

The Villa Maria School of Nursing has one 9-month faculty position available, responsible for teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs and clinical education, as assigned. Candidates must provide evidence of competence in diverse teaching methods and effective classroom and clinical instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach in undergraduate and graduate nursing programs
- Provide clinical education as assigned
- Engage in scholarly activities aligned with the Boyer Model of Scholarship
- Advise students
- Participate in professional, University, and community service activities
Requirements
- Must be a registered nurse with a master’s degree in nursing
- Must possess or be eligible to obtain nursing licensure in Pennsylvania
- Must support and promote the University’s inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field (applicants enrolled or in the process of enrolling in doctoral programs are also encouraged to apply)
- Recent clinical and teaching experience in a program of higher education
- Background in Mom and Baby or OB/GYN
Physical Demands
Must be able to meet the physical demands associated with a busy academic and clinical environment.
Schedule
9-month position (September–May), full-time.
Credits Per Year
24 credits (tenure track) or 27 credits (teaching track).
