Faculty - Sports/Spine

About the role

The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, are seeking a full-time physiatrist (MD/DO) with interests in spine, sports, and musculoskeletal medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide general rehabilitation services within the UPMC Rehabilitation Network
• Have consultative and outpatient role for patients with spine, sports, and musculoskeletal needs
• Expand capacity to care for spine and musculoskeletal disorders, including through the use of innovative, multidisciplinary clinics that focus on comprehensive care and follow population health models

Requirements

• Board certified/eligible in PM&R
• Strong organizational, communication, teaching, and leadership skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience for Associate Professor level
• Minimum of 10 years of experience for Full Professor level
• Evidence of scholarly productivity in research, teaching, and/or administrative leadership and service
• Appointments at the Associate Professor level generally require a minimum of 5 years of experience and demonstrated scholarly productivity in research, teaching, and/or administrative leadership and service
• Appointments at the full Professor level generally require a minimum of 10 years of experience and ability to demonstrate the attainment of superior stature and national/international reputation in their field of knowledge
