Essential Job Functions

• Delivers live and videotaped demonstrations of treatment and diagnostic procedures for graduate students.
• Provides direct delivery of services to clients as needed at one or more locations with or without the use of an interpreter or auxiliary aids.
• Schedules and routinely conduct student clinician conferences.
• Teaches courses (site based or online).
• Participates in on and off-campus screening/identification activities.
• SUBMIT BILLING RECORDS AND CLINICAL REPORTS IN A TIMELY MANNER.
• ASSISTS WITH CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT.
• ATTENDS FACULTY AND SUPERVISOR'S MEETINGS AS SCHEDULED.
• PARTICIPATES IN THE DEPARTMENT'S RESEARCH EFFORTS.
• Completes mandatory compliance training and on-going compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA and other regulations as appropriate.
• ASSESSES STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN DIAGNOSTICS AND TREATMENT THROUGH WRITTEN FEEDBACK, VERBAL FEEDBACK, AND MIDTERM AND FINAL EVALUATION FORMS.
• PARTICIPATES IN LOCAL, STATE AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, THROUGH MEMBERSHIP, COMMITTEE WORK, AND PRESENTATIONS.
• ATTENDS MEETINGS, EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCES, AND TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND SERVES ON COMMITTEES.
• PERFORM OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED OR REQUIRED.

  Job Requirements

  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with others, with or without the use of an interpreter.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing, with or without the use of auxiliary aids or services.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with graduate students, colleagues, supervisory staff, and support staff.
  • Physical Requirements: Speech Recognition - Must be able to identify and understand the speech of another person. Speech Clarity - Must be able to speak clearly so others can understand you. Travel - Must be able to travel on a daily and/or overnight basis. May be required to work nights or weekends. May be exposed to short, intermittent, and/or prolonged periods of sitting and/or standing in performance of job duties. May be required to accomplish job duties using various types of equipment/supplies, to include but not limited to pens, pencils, mobile devices, and computer keyboards.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1. Ability to verbally communicate effectively with others, with or without the use of an interpreter. Ability to work cooperatively with graduate students, colleagues, supervisory staff, and support staff.
  • Required Certifications/Licenses: 1. ASHA CCC in speech-language pathology. Florida State license in speech-language pathology.
  • Required Education: Master's Degree Major (if Required)
  • Required Experience: 1. Three (3) years of successful and relevant clinical experience. Previous education and/or willingness to take continuing education in the area of supervision.
