Faculty Psychologist (Two Positions) – Clinical Assistant Professor, 12 Month Salaried (Student Affairs/Admissions - Medicine)
Responsibilities
The faculty psychologist will provide individual therapy and personal counseling to matriculated students for general mental health concerns, adjustment disorders, personal stressors, and promote well-being. They will advise students and develop strategies to address academic deficiencies and facilitate academic success. Additionally, they will conduct initial evaluations, screenings, and referrals as necessary for psychiatric care, and manage a network of referral relationships.
All services are provided on-site in the FSU COM via in-person or telehealth scheduled appointments.
Qualifications
- Holds a doctoral degree from an APA-approved counseling or clinical psychology program with an APA-approved pre-doctoral internship and Florida licensure as a psychologist, or eligibility to obtain within 90 days of employment.
- At least two years of experience in counseling or clinical psychology, with a minimum of one year of post-doctoral clinical experience in individual and group counseling, psychological assessments, and/or consultations.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Preference given to candidates with postdoctoral work experience with college students or with young adults in a health science setting and/or experience providing academic support services.
- Doctorate level training in the science of learning, including educational psychology or school psychology.

Anticipated Salary Range
This position is expected to offer a salary in the range of $95,000 – $105,000; however, final compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
