About the role
The Division of Rheumatology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC seeks an outstanding physician scientist at the Assistant Professor level (non-tenure track).
Physicians will manage patients with Rheumatic disease, including both inpatient and outpatient cohorts. They will round at UPMC hospitals as assigned, maintain at least one outpatient clinic per week, and be involved in teaching at UPMC for trainees.
The physician will be responsible for 80% clinical work and 20% research.

Requirements
- Demonstrated teaching ability
- Experience in advanced study and research
- Professional experience enabling academic contribution
- Doctoral or appropriate professional degree (MD or DO)
- Board Certification/Board Eligibility
- Promising originality and excellence in a field of scholarship
- Ability to guide and counsel students
Qualifications
- Potential for promotion to Associate Professor
