Responsibilities
- Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and service activities consistent with rank and departmental needs.
- Collaborate with departmental and interdisciplinary research teams at Pitt and UPMC.
- Publish scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at professional/scientific meetings.
- Participate in outreach efforts for the Emergency Department, expanding inpatient and outpatient activities at locations within the Emergency Medicine service area.
- Actively participate in the research and educational mission of the Emergency Medicine Department.
Requirements
- Doctoral level education in the field of emergency medicine (MD, DO).
- ABEM/ABOEM board certification or eligibility.
- Medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Necessary training in Emergency Medicine.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated teaching ability.
- Experience in advanced study and research.
- Professional experience enabling academic contribution.
Skills
- Ability to guide and counsel students.
