Faculty positions in the Operations, Information and Technology (OIT) area at the Graduate School of Business, Stanford University, for full-time, tenure-track roles at the assistant professor level, beginning September 1, 2027.

About the role

The OIT area seeks applicants in all areas of Operations, Information and Technology, including the management of service and manufacturing systems, supply and transportation networks, information systems/technology, energy systems, and other systems where people interact with technology, markets, and the environment.

Appointees will conduct innovative research in the OIT field, participate in the school’s PhD program, and teach both required and elective courses in the MBA program.

Requirements

• Rigorous training in management science, operations research, engineering, computer science, economics, and/or statistics.
• Junior applicants must have or expect to complete a PhD by September 1, 2027.

Pay

The expected base pay range for this position is $215,000 – $230,000. The final pay offered will be determined based on factors including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, years since terminal degree, training, field or discipline, departmental budget availability, internal equity, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
