Job Summary
The ADA Forsyth Institute seeks to attract creative, dynamic, and collaborative scientists to join its faculty. The Institute is committed to improving people’s oral and overall health through cutting-edge research, and it is seeking individuals who can contribute to this mission.
About the Role
The ADA Forsyth Institute is a 501(c)(3) entity that combines the resources of the American Dental Association with the Forsyth Dental Infirmary for Children. It focuses on scientific research and aims to prevent dental disease while serving the needs of disadvantaged children.
Responsibilities
- Lead outstanding scientific research programs
- Contribute to strengthening the Institute’s prestige
- Foster collaboration among researchers
- Proactively enhance the Institute's mission to improve oral and overall health
Requirements
- Hold a PhD, DMD, MD, DDS, or equivalent doctoral degree
- Established a cutting-edge, externally funded research program
- Record of impactful scholarship, collaborative leadership, and commitment to scientific excellence
- Research aligned with strategic scientific focus areas: Microbiology and the oral microbiome, Inflammation and immunology, Craniofacial biology and bioengineering
- Exceptional creative ability and major scientific promise or achievement in their field of expertise
- Sustained or emerging record of external funding, impactful publications, national or international recognition
- Commitment to advancing interdisciplinary research
- Excellence in mentorship, productive scientific leadership

Pay
$100,000 - $350,000 dependent on faculty level
