About the role

The Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Pittsburgh seeks an outstanding scientist who will enhance and complement existing strengths in our broad-based, interactive biology department. We are especially interested in candidates working at the interface of Biochemistry and Cell Biology, with impacts on human physiology. Specific topics of interest include super-high-resolution microscopy, lipid metabolism, lipid droplets, single-molecular tracking, and proximity-labeling proteomics.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program.
  • Train graduate students.
  • Actively participate in undergraduate science education.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. and postdoctoral research experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in support of a diverse community.
