Faculty Physician - Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS)

About the Role

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Urology seek a Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) Specialist at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will practice in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Duties

• Practice in the areas of URPS
• Provide excellent patient care
• Actively participate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
• Eligible for state medical license
• Completion of a Urology residency program
• Completion of a URPS fellowship program
• Board certified / eligible in URPS
• All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment

About the Chair

Steven Campbell, MD, PhD, came to WVU from the Cleveland Clinic, where he served as a board-certified urologist, vice chair of Urology, residency program director, and professor of Surgery. He led the largest urology residency training program in the United States for 20 years and was central to the Urologic Oncology Fellowship Program. Dr. Campbell is a nationally renowned expert in renal cell carcinoma, bladder cancer, prostate cancer, and resident education, authoring more than 400 papers and serving as lead author of the American Urological Association's Guidelines for the Management of Kidney Cancer.
