About the role
Hennepin Healthcare seeks an Infectious Disease staff physician (1.0 FTE with excellent benefits).
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the largest HIV clinic in the upper Midwest (Positive Care Center), with a multidisciplinary care team supported through HRSA-RWCA funding
- Participate in the robust Travel Medicine program
- Provide care in the viral hepatitis clinic
- Deliver inpatient infectious disease consultation services
- Support STI and TB public health clinics within the Twin Cities
- Hold educational leadership positions within the Hennepin Healthcare Internal Medicine residency program and University of Minnesota Medical School
Research
- Five principal investigators in the division direct research programs focused on HIV, STIs, respiratory infections, and vector-borne diseases including malaria
- Conduct clinical and immunopathogenesis studies locally and internationally
Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Infectious Disease
- Eligible for medical licensure in Minnesota
- Ability to pursue academic rank at the University of Minnesota
