Faculty - Philosophy (Adjunct)

Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is hiring adjunct faculty to teach courses in the Philosophy program. The primary responsibility is to provide quality instruction to students. Adjunct instructors receive a single-term contract, with the possibility of renewal for subsequent terms. This position is under the management of the Program/Division Chair and supervised by the Academic Dean.

About the role

This faculty member will teach face-to-face sections of Introduction to Ethics during daytime hours at the Salisbury, Concord, and/or Kannapolis campuses. While this is not an online-only position, future teaching modalities may include online, hyflex, or hybrid classes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Philosophy or Ethics; or
• Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in Philosophy and/or Ethics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using learning management systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or related software
• Experience with Quality Matters standards

Pay

$35.85 per hour
