About the role
Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses (critical thinking, logic, reasoning, and ethics) at the Hampton Campus of Bryant & Stratton College.
Responsibilities
- Corresponds routinely with the Dean of Instruction
- Fosters academic excellence in teaching and learning
- Instruct students in accordance with College policies/curricula
- Effectively prepares for class and encourages students to participate in College activities
- Supports College extracurricular functions
- Remains current in the teaching field through professional development
- Prepares and submits Beginning-of-Term and End-of-Term paperwork in a timely fashion
- Coordinates student internships and assists in recruiting internship sites
- Promotes campus activities
- Provides instruction for day, evening, and/or weekend classes
- Provides instruction in face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities
- Maintains technological proficiency, including Microsoft products (Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard)
Required Qualifications
- Master's in Philosophy
Skills
- 1-3 years of teaching experience is preferred
- Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students
- Leadership, integrity, problem-solving, and strong communication skills
Pay
Paid via Adjunct Contract: range $2,400-2,600 per a 3-contact hour course for a 15-week semester
