About the role

Adjunct Professor to teach Philosophy courses (critical thinking, logic, reasoning, and ethics) at the Hampton Campus of Bryant & Stratton College.

Responsibilities

  • Corresponds routinely with the Dean of Instruction
  • Fosters academic excellence in teaching and learning
  • Instruct students in accordance with College policies/curricula
  • Effectively prepares for class and encourages students to participate in College activities
  • Supports College extracurricular functions
  • Remains current in the teaching field through professional development
  • Prepares and submits Beginning-of-Term and End-of-Term paperwork in a timely fashion
  • Coordinates student internships and assists in recruiting internship sites
  • Promotes campus activities
  • Provides instruction for day, evening, and/or weekend classes
  • Provides instruction in face-to-face, virtual, online, and blended modalities
  • Maintains technological proficiency, including Microsoft products (Outlook and Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Blackboard)

Required Qualifications

  • Master's in Philosophy

Skills

  • 1-3 years of teaching experience is preferred
  • Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff, and students
  • Leadership, integrity, problem-solving, and strong communication skills

Pay

Paid via Adjunct Contract: range $2,400-2,600 per a 3-contact hour course for a 15-week semester
