Faculty, Patient Care Technician and EKG/Phlebotomy (9mo)

Responsibilities

• Create and upload appropriate course syllabi for each course to the Learning Management System.
• Keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
• Maintain accurate academic records, including grading, census rosters, and attendance records.
• Evaluate student progress toward achieving course outcomes and competencies.
• Maintain industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.
• Develop and recommend curriculum changes that enhance student learning outcomes.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age, read, speak, and write the English language.
• Strongly prefer prior teaching experience, especially in high school education settings.
• Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the healthcare field and regulations.
• Ability to apply technology as a teaching tool, specifically through the use of Learning Management Systems.
• Current certifications in Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, or Medical Assisting are highly desired.
• Other Certifications considered- EMT/Paramedic, RN/LPN, Respiratory Therapist, or other medical certifications that possess the knowledge of venipunctures, laboratory testing, and electrocardiography technologies.
• Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
