Responsibilities
- Create and upload appropriate course syllabi for each course to the Learning Management System.
- Keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
- Maintain accurate academic records, including grading, census rosters, and attendance records.
- Evaluate student progress toward achieving course outcomes and competencies.
- Maintain industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.
- Develop and recommend curriculum changes that enhance student learning outcomes.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age, read, speak, and write the English language.
- Strongly prefer prior teaching experience, especially in high school education settings.
- Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work with students, technical and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the healthcare field and regulations.
- Ability to apply technology as a teaching tool, specifically through the use of Learning Management Systems.
- Current certifications in Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician, or Medical Assisting are highly desired.
- Other Certifications considered- EMT/Paramedic, RN/LPN, Respiratory Therapist, or other medical certifications that possess the knowledge of venipunctures, laboratory testing, and electrocardiography technologies.
- Associates or bachelors degree preferred.
