About the Role

As a full-time Faculty member in the Nursing Sciences department, you will teach a full course load in theory, laboratory, and clinical settings. Responsibilities include instructional leadership, such as mentoring part-time instructors, developing curriculum, advising students, serving on college committees, and participating in program review and accreditation processes. You will collaborate with colleagues to create an innovative and inclusive curriculum that prioritizes student retention and success. The role may require teaching at different times, locations, and modalities, with a strong on-campus presence and occasional travel to FRCC’s three campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Teach nursing courses in theory, laboratory, and clinical settings.
  • Assume instructional leadership roles, including hiring and mentoring part-time instructors.
  • Develop and implement curriculum using effective teaching strategies and technology.
  • Advise and coach students to support their academic success.
  • Serve on departmental and college-wide committees.
  • Participate in program review, accreditation processes, and assessment of student achievement.
  • Foster a collaborative and respectful learning environment.
  • Teach at varying times, locations, and modalities as needed by the college.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree in nursing from a nationally accredited program.
  • Two years of full-time (or equivalent) professional nursing clinical experience within the last five years.
  • A current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Colorado or a Compact State.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a Career and Technical Education (CTE) credential within one year of hire.
  • Colorado residency required on the first day of employment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $67,693–$77,065 annually. Starting salary is determined based on the candidate’s education, training, experience, the position’s scope and complexity, internal pay equity, and external market value.

Schedule

This is a 9-month, full-time faculty position.
