Faculty - Full Time Simulation Lab

About the role

Develops, implements, and evaluates evidence-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab in coordination with course faculty. Participates in simulation activities as primary instructor or as technical support to faculty members. Demonstrates nursing skills and techniques to students and uses information technologies to support the teaching-learning process, including high-fidelity human simulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab.
• Participate in simulation activities as primary instructor or provide technical support to faculty members.
• Demonstrate nursing skills and techniques to students.
• Use information technologies, including high-fidelity human simulators, to support the teaching-learning process.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to communicate information, observations, and activities effectively.
• Recommend additions and deletions to the library.
• Provide individual and small group tutoring in the Lab.
• Offer ongoing feedback to students regarding their performance strengths and weaknesses.
• Demonstrate professionalism and sensitivity when interacting with students and peers.
• Serve as a role model for professional nursing and adhere to the Faculty Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing, or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's in a Healthcare field (required).
• Doctorate in Nursing or closely related field (PhD, DNP, or EdD) preferred.
• Active New Jersey RN License or an approved compact license (required).
• Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or Certified Nurse Educator Clinical (CNE cl) preferred.
• Certified Health Simulation Educator (CHSE) preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years of acute patient care (required).
• Minimum of one (1) year of simulation experience (preferred).

Pay

$106,500.00 - $124,000.00 per year.
