About the role

Jersey College seeks to hire a Registered Nurse Instructor to provide clinical instruction at various healthcare settings and guide students' academic and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute care facilities.
• Create a supportive clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare and submit student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications as a Registered Nurse Instructor through ongoing education and training.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) required.
• Valid State RN license required.
• At least 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to create and maintain positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Motivated, self-directed, and team-oriented.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Ability to supervise students in the clinical setting.
• Knowledgeable and experienced in a specific area of nursing.
• Relevant work experience as a Registered Nurse to enhance student learning.

Skills

• Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues.
• Proficiency in delivering lessons appropriate for RN or PNS students.
• Knowledge of nursing specialties relevant to the program.
• Experience in teaching and guiding students towards professional success.
