The Faculty-Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia Practice (DNAP) position at Rocky Vista University in Englewood, CO provides instruction to current and future Nurse Anesthesia Students/Trainees/Residents. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver curriculum for nurse anesthesia courses following program objectives and accreditation standards.
• Supervise and mentor nurse anesthesia students in both clinical and academic settings, ensuring high standards of care and learning.
• Engage in scholarly activities, including but not limited to research, publications, and presentations in the field of nurse anesthesia.
• Participate in program evaluation and continuous improvement efforts to meet and exceed accreditation standards.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and academic staff to promote an interdisciplinary approach to anesthesia education.
• Stay abreast of current trends, techniques, and advancements in nurse anesthesia practice and education.
• Attend DNAP Program faculty meetings, retreats, and accreditation-related events.
• Help students select their topic and prepare doctoral work.
• Attend a minimum of one state or national nurse anesthesia meeting yearly.
• Participate in DNAP admissions interviewing process.
• Perform other duties as assigned and supporting the mission of the program and the university.
• Maintain an active clinical practice.

Requirements

• Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia or a related field (e.g., anesthesiology) from an accredited institution, terminal degree in association with licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist.
• Active certification as a nurse anesthetist through the NBCRNA or as an anesthesiologist.
• An active, unencumbered RN license in the state where the program is located or an MD license as an anesthesiologist.
• Two (2)+ years clinical experience in a variety of settings, including academic medical centers, community hospitals, and surgical centers.
• One (1)+ year(s) Proven experience teaching and supervising nurse anesthesia students in clinical and classroom environments.

Pay

$102,727 to $130,000 per year depending on experience and Faculty rank.

Schedule

Primary focus in-office work, with hybrid work flexibility for eligible positions.
