About the role

The successful candidate will prepare and deliver relevant course content using various teaching methods and assessments to support student learning. They will teach courses both on campus and online, adhering to university guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses on campus by delivering course content, preparing lesson plans, grading assignments, providing feedback, and addressing student questions and concerns
• Teach assigned courses online by delivering course content, learning activities, and assessments through the university’s learning management system
• Prepare and maintain course sites in the learning management system for course materials, assessments, and updates to the grade center
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, academic achievement, and performance
• Distribute a university-approved syllabus to each student via the learning management system, including course objectives, required materials, attendance policy, and evaluation criteria
• Communicate with students, department chairs, and academic counselors regarding their progress and needs
• Refer students to appropriate university resources for support
• Populate the university’s faculty information system with necessary data to establish teaching credentials
• Attend faculty orientation and meetings as requested

Requirements

• A Master's degree in dietetics & nutrition or a related field from a regionally accredited institution
• RDN and LDN credentials

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must live or relocate to live within a daily commuting distance of the Providence Campus location upon hire.
