Operational Overview
The Factory Technician on night shift plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the manufacturing floor during overnight hours. This position requires a deep understanding of industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems.
Responsibilities
- Operate industrial saws, bandsaws, CNC equipment, and material handling systems
- Load, measure, cut, and inspect aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to spec
- Run forklifts and overhead cranes
- Follow cut lists and production schedules with precision
- Take a clean handoff from 2nd shift and leave the floor ready for day shift
- Receive inbound material and verify against purchase orders
- Pack, label, and stage outbound shipments
- Record cut data and job completions in our software systems, accurately, every time
- Avoid making assumptions, always ask questions when unsure
- Identify ways to improve processes and procedures
- Ensure the floor is clean, organized, and ready for the next job
- Work safely every shift and hold your teammates to the same standard
Requirements
- Knowledgeable or experienced in a factory, metals service center, bandsaws, industrial saws, CNC equipment, or skilled trades
- Highly committed to safety, follows all protocols, wears personal protective equipment (PPE), and does not compromise safety
- Exceptional attention to quality, precise in every cut, every certificate, and every shipment
- Always looking for ways to improve processes, questioning traditional methods
- Customer-focused, prioritizing timely deliveries to meet customer expectations
- A team player with a positive attitude, enhancing the shift's overall performance
- Self-motivated, capable of managing tasks independently and leading a smaller team
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for a full shift
- Comfortable working overnight shifts and maintaining a consistent schedule
- Willing to work outside regular hours when necessary to support America's manufacturing needs
- Responsible for their actions and accountable for the outcomes of their work
- Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Embracing change and new technologies, such as AI tools, to enhance efficiency
Qualifications
- Experience in metals, aluminum, or aerospace/defense supply chains
- Forklift and/or overhead crane certification
- Background in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Comfortable using digital tools to track and manage operations

Schedule
Shift hours: Monday through Friday, 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.
Pay
Competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
