Factory Technician - (BANDSAW Experience WANTED!)

NOX Metals is a technology company in Detroit that supplies aluminum plate, bar, and rounds to aerospace and defense manufacturers. We use advanced software and automation to process metal efficiently. Our operations run 24/7 and we are expanding.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial bandsaws to cut aluminum plate, bar, and rounds according to customer specifications.
• Read and execute cut lists accurately, ensuring each order is completed correctly.
• Measure and verify finished pieces against job requirements.
• Load and unload material using forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Inspect cuts for quality and flag any non-conforming material.
• Package, label, and stage finished orders for shipment.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep work areas clean.
• Log job completions in our software system.

Requirements

• Experienced on industrial bandsaws or similar cutting equipment.
• Able to read a tape measure and work to tight tolerances.
• Detail-oriented, ensuring no bad cuts are shipped.
• Reliable and physically capable of standing for a full shift.
• Takes ownership of their machine and work.

Nice to have

• Experience cutting aluminum or other non-ferrous metals.
• Forklift and/or overhead crane certification.
• Familiarity with aerospace or defense supply chain quality standards.
