SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry, designing and manufacturing high-performance bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. The Aerospace Business Unit oversees sales, manufacturing, business development, and innovation for aerospace applications.

About the Role

As the Business Controller, you will report directly to the Cluster Controller for Aeroengine Europe and Balls Factories. This role partners with factory management to drive financial performance, improve profitability, and optimize asset utilization. You will also oversee controlling for the Sales Unit in Winsted, CT (USA).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with factory management to provide timely financial analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs) to maximize performance.
  • Identify and initiate actions to improve profitability and asset turns, including working capital reduction, contribution margin analysis, operations restructuring, product cost re-engineering, and lean manufacturing savings.
  • Guide annual planning and budget allocation to establish feasible goals with actionable steps for consistent progress.
  • Ensure a thorough understanding of plan drivers, risks, and opportunities to develop cogent contingency plans.
  • Monitor variances, identify risks and opportunities, and initiate corrective actions to meet or exceed planned benchmarks.
  • Ensure internal controls and procedures comply with SKF’s Internal Control policy, avoiding significant deficiencies.
  • Oversee all cost accounting functions, including establishing standard costs, variance analysis, and month-end closing.
  • Coordinate end-to-end transformation processes, including data collection, analytics, and presentation to ensure profitability across the value network.
  • Manage investment controlling, including strategy alignment analysis and tracking business benefits.
  • Support factory finance for quoting new business, including cost estimates and analysis.
  • Assist the FOC and tax department with annual audits, tax controls, and ad hoc analysis/reports.
  • Maintain a significant presence on the manufacturing floor as an engaged team member.

Requirements

  • Experience in business controlling with accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare concise financial reviews to drive better business decisions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills with a proactive and innovative approach.
  • Experience developing and using Standard Cost Accounting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and a solid understanding of ERP systems; experience with financial consolidation systems like XA and SARA Masterpiece is a plus.
  • Experience with data analytics and digital tools such as PowerBI.
  • Strong professional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, organize workload, and collaborate within a multicultural team environment.

Pay

Salary Range: $111,000.00 to $125,000.00
