About the role

The Facility Technician supports Facilities and Maintenance operations with day-to-day maintenance and repairs of facility building equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping standards.
  • Aid with office moves, including furniture, cubicle changes, and moving people throughout campus.
  • Maintain Perrysburg building and grounds facilities using applicable resources and equipment.
  • Aid in the installation of all signage and safety equipment on campus.
  • Perform routine duties such as identifying, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, following up on work orders, and performing preventative maintenance.
  • Complete various work orders as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with commercial building utility power, air compressors, emergency generators, plumbing, fire detection and facility systems.
  • Mechanically inclined with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
  • High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years in related maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting OR Skilled Electrical or Mechanical Trade experience with 1+ years in a Manufacturing setting.

Skills

  • Knowledge of building electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work with tools and work with little supervision.

Physical Requirements
  • Sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per day.
  • Climb stairs on an occasional basis.
  • Exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a seldom basis.
  • Lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects repetitively on a frequent basis.
  • 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
  • May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
