Responsibilities

  • Full-time position, working second shift with weekend availability required (Saturday-Sunday)
  • Starting wage: $18/hour based on experience
  • Maintain property grounds, public areas, and guest rooms
  • Follow Suburban Inns' Core Values and brand standards, ensuring guests are 100% satisfied
  • Perform property walk-arounds as needed, addressing all issues encountered
  • Pick up trash, used towels, and report any safety or security issues
  • Order necessary parts and supplies within budget, seeking approval for big-ticket items from the General Manager
  • Record maintenance issues using Quore, documenting what needs to be done and completed tasks
  • Control security by maintaining master keys and ensuring equipment is functioning properly
  • Oversee daily water checks on swimming pool/spa and filtering system, cleaning the area
  • Assist in checking fire protection systems and training personnel in their use
  • Perform painting, touch-up painting, patching, and repairing drywall, replacing and repairing plumbing, and fixing/troubleshooting kitchen, laundry, boiler, and HVAC equipment
  • Respond to guest complaints or issues promptly, adhering to Suburban Inns' and brand standards
  • Assist with the ongoing preventative maintenance program
  • Maintain open lines of communication between departments
  • Drive company vehicles and/or operate heavy machinery
  • Follow all Suburban Inns processes
  • Exhibit regular and recurrent attendance records

Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year job-related experience required
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Requires ability to interpret/extract information and/or perform arithmetic functions, basic computer knowledge, record keeping, or word processing, and good communication skills
  • Hazcom Training, Lock-Out/Tag-Out (completed upon hire)
