Summary
Chenega Military, Intelligence & Operations Support (MIOS) is seeking a Facility Technician I to support large-scale government operations. Venturi, LLC, a Chenega company, offers an opportunity to perform technical support engineering and perform maintenance and other logistics functions.
Responsibilities
- Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
- Perform simple or routine tasks or tests, such as operating and adjusting simple test equipment, operating vehicles and handling equipment, and maintaining various records.
- Gather and maintain specified records of engineering data such as tests, drawings, inventory records, maintenance records, etc.; perform computations by substituting numbers in specified formulas; plot data and draw simple curves and graphs.
- Conduct maintenance operations.
- Function independently to resolve problems; advise staff members in order to meet established objectives.
- Perform maintenance and other logistics functions on fielded systems.
- Maintain inventory, prepare order quantities, and track resupply activities.
- Perform fleet planning, operation, and maintenance.
- Prepare materials for shipping.
- Operate test and diagnostic equipment.
- Operate handling equipment.
- Operate/Drive various vehicles.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- 1+ years of relevant experience is desired.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Interim Secret security clearance.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to conscientiously follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proper use of standard hand tools and material handling equipment.
- Operation of heavy equipment, including trucks and forklifts, for general material handling.
- Ability to maintain a driver's license.
- Ability to lift boxes, packages, and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds using proper equipment and lifting techniques.
- Physically fit with full use of arms, legs, and back.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required training and certifications.
- Ability to use computers to search for and generate information using Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel 20-30% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and Holidays as required.
