Responsibilities
- Support all facility maintenance activities, repairs, and improvement projects across company buildings and rental properties
- Aid in defining project goals, specifications, and coordinating internal and external resources
- Cook with department managers and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to quality standards
- Obtain and review subcontractor quotes; monitor performance to ensure compliance with project expectations
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility systems, including pumps, tanks, air, water, piping, and exhaust systems
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues as needed
- Offer day-to-day facility support and respond to emergency repair situations in a timely manner
- Maintain and support recycling and waste management programs for the facility and laboratories
- Support safety programs, inspections, and compliance initiatives
- Ensure overall facility quality standards are maintained or improved
Qualifications
- Knowledge of or certification in two or more maintenance trades (e.g., electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing)
- Minimum of 2 years of related manufacturing maintenance or facilities experience
- Proficiency with computers and software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, and project management tools
- Strong project planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to facility emergencies outside of normal business hours as needed
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Valid state driver’s license required
- OSHA 10 or 30 a plus
- Forklift certification and/or experience operating forklifts preferred
- Experience operating aerial/scissor lift preferred
Physical Requirements & Work Conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Comfortable working in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments and weather conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation as needed
