About the role
Join our Distribution Center team as a Facility Technician. This role is key to maintaining the safe and efficient operation of our distribution center equipment and systems. Every shift offers a new opportunity to troubleshoot, repair, and support our ever-changing inventory.
Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay
Starting pay range: $25.35 to $34.20 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintains the safe, efficient, and proper operations of distribution center equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment related to operations and facility maintenance, including conveyor systems, MHE, HVAC systems, air compressors, dock equipment, and plumbing fixtures.
- Constructs, installs, repairs, and maintains equipment.
- Completes tests, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs independently and as directed.
- Reads and understands basic blueprints.
- Applies basic understanding of carpentry and mechanics (including hydraulics and pneumatics).
- Completes and maintains maintenance-related logs and documentation, including parts usage.
- Performs light fabrication as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a maintenance environment with proven knowledge and proficiency.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and welding.
- Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with OSHA/NFPA standards.
- Ability to operate all shop equipment and hand tools.
- Always maintains safe work practices, including wearing PPE, using LOTO, and following ARC Flash requirements.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. constantly and up to 75 lbs. as needed.
- Must be comfortable working at heights as needed.
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and work in outside climates.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Initiative to take on tasks above and beyond the role.
- Familiarity with the operation of computers and tablets.
