About the Role
As a Facility Technician, you will perform various tasks required by Operations & Maintenance to ensure the building runs smoothly during your shift. This includes transporting tools, supplies, and pallets, performing battery swaps, preventative maintenance on equipment, and other operational tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial scrubber to maintain cleanliness and safety of warehouse floors.
- Perform housekeeping duties to ensure floor cleanliness and safety.
- Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
- Change batteries as needed and manage a “Hot Swap” process.
- Wash, water, and fill batteries; collect and record runtime data.
- Monitor reports for underperforming batteries.
- Collect forklift hour meter readings for PM schedules and enter in CMMS.
- Perform PM on batteries: check water systems, specific gravity, cables, and repair cables as needed.
- Equalize batteries if necessary.
- Maintain battery charges, racks, clean drip trays, and rollers.
- Maintain RoboWrap batteries and change as needed.
- Manage pallet flow, including repairs, reporting, transport, delivery, retrieval, and loading/offloading trailers to support operational needs.
- Maintain serviceability of all tools, equipment, and supply stocks.
- Coordinate, load, and unload recycling materials as needed.
- Operate corrugate baler as needed.
- Perform housekeeping duties in battery change areas.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for shifts lasting up to 10 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Support overall facility functions as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a warehouse environment operating a forklift.
- 1+ years of experience using power tools (e.g., saws, drills) with proper safety precautions.
- 1+ years of experience with basic forklift equipment.
- 1+ years of experience with mechanical and/or electrical basic components.
