Facility Support Alternate Project Manager
About the role
ISN is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Alternate Project Manager (PM) to oversee, manage, and support a multi-disciplined workforce performing facility maintenance functions. This includes preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and emergency repairs for various property types such as dormitories, commercial kitchens, offices, classrooms, sports fields, mechanicals, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
This is a full-time, on-site position during normal working hours. The APM must be available within 2 hours, 24/7, for emergency response and will step in as acting PM during the primary PM’s absences (e.g., illness, vacation). The role requires knowledge of federal government contract operations, serving as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, and overseeing personnel management, risk management, cost control, quality assurance, compliance, and overall contract/task order performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage a multi-disciplined workforce performing facility maintenance functions.
- Coordinate preventative maintenance, scheduled repairs, and emergency repairs for diverse property types.
- Serve as the acting Project Manager during the primary PM’s absences.
- Act as the main point of contact for all stakeholders, including government personnel.
- Manage personnel, risk, cost control, quality assurance, and compliance.
- Ensure overall responsibility for contract and task order performance.
- Oversee property management, inspections, vendor recruitment, onboarding, and scorecards.
- Collaborate with government personnel to address facility support issues.
- Maintain excellent written and oral communication with vendors, government personnel, and internal management.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Project Manager or Engineering Manager of a multi-disciplined workforce performing facilities maintenance functions.
- Experience overseeing property management, inspections, vendor recruitment, onboarding, and scorecards.
- Strong collaboration skills with government personnel to coordinate facility support issues.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with vendors, government personnel, and internal management.
- Must provide proof of U.S. citizenship and pass a background check.
Preferred (but not required): Previous experience working on a federal government contract managing commercial property.
Education
Must possess at least one of the following:
- A 4-year engineering degree from an accredited college.
- Any combination of five (5) additional years of commercial property experience as a journeyman craftsman in construction or facility engineering fields, design or construction management in the engineering field, or construction/facility-related experience in business fields related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hazardous material/waste regulations, or fire systems (including alarms and sprinklers).

Schedule
Full-time, on-site during normal working hours. Must be available within 2 hours, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week for emergency response.
