Facility Specialist
Triumvirate Environmental, one of the largest environmental services firms in North America, is seeking a Facility Specialist for our Orlando, FL facility. This role offers exposure to RCRA and DOT compliance, technical services, transportation, solid disposal coordination, ten-day transfer of hazardous waste, and universal waste management. With the right training and mentoring, you’ll have the opportunity to grow and eventually manage your own Triumvirate waste facility.

Responsibilities
- Develop the knowledge and experience to manage a permitted facility
- Understand facility permit and local governing agency expectations for waste management
- Assist with general facility compliance, including performing daily/weekly/monthly compliance checks, training, SOP implementation/review, and process review
- Assist with general facility operations
- Consolidate waste according to permits, disposal facility requirements, and customer preferences
- Build trailer loads for outbound transportation
- Assist with waste determinations and profile management
- Coordinate outbound loads—setting up deliveries, scheduling transporters, etc.
- Develop an understanding of OSHA regulations, Triumvirate’s Health and Safety Practices, and EPA regulations
- Demonstrate supervisory leadership through interaction with coworkers
- Work toward familiarity with technical, customer service, and business components of environmental services
- Work with computerized waste tracking systems
- Handle chemicals and perform QC of waste streams
- Upon completion of emergency response (ER) training, participate as part of an in-house ER team
- Lift items weighing up to 75 pounds as part of daily responsibilities
Requirements
- BS/BA in Environmental Science or Business-related degree OR 2+ years of industry or relative military experience
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- Ability to work both as a team member and individually
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact effectively with a broad range of personnel
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
- Reliable form of transportation
- Willingness to consent to Motor Vehicle Record screening, criminal background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screen (inclusive of THC)
- Participation in a random drug screening program (inclusive of THC) upon employment
- Ability to lift 60 pounds on a regular basis
- Willingness to work flexible hours within the work week (Monday through Friday)
- Ability to work overtime on a regular basis
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior knowledge, experience, and compliance with DOT, RCRA, and other applicable regulations
- Computer skills
- CDL with Hazmat Endorsement
