About the role
Firestorm is seeking a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to manage the security operations of a cleared facility holding classified material. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 and maintaining the facility's National Industrial Security Program Operating Agreement (NISPOA).
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact with DCSA and other security agencies.
- Maintain and administer Standard Practice Procedures (SPP) for classified material.
- Manage security infrastructure, including closed areas, secure rooms, and access control systems.
- Conduct and document self-inspections and prepare for DCSA reviews and assessments.
- Administer personnel security clearance processing and manage visitor controls.
- Maintain the facility's Security Education, Training, and Awareness (SETA) program.
- Manage incident response processes for security violations and administrative inquiries.
- Ensure accountability for classified material, including document control and inventory management.
- Coordinate with facilities/engineering on construction and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain emergency action procedures for classified material protection or destruction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related field, or relevant experience.
- U.S. Citizenship required for ITAR regulations, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- 5+ years of industrial security experience within the NISP, with possession facility experience preferred.
- Completion of DCSA CDSE FSO Program Management for Possessing Facilities curriculum or ability to complete within a specified period.
- Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117, NISPOM, and DCSA industrial security procedures.
- Experience with DISS and NBIS.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Preferred qualifications include ISP certification, prior insider threat program experience, familiarity with SAP, SCI, or COMSEC, and experience with export control regulations.
Skills
- Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification.
- Experience with SAP, SCI, or COMSEC security programs.
- Familiarity with export control regulations (ITAR/EAR).

Schedule
On-site role; incumbent must be physically present to perform classified tasks. May require after-hours availability for security incident response and domestic travel for DCSA engagements or corporate security meetings.
