Position Summary
The Facility Security Officer (FSO) is responsible for managing and administering the company's industrial security program in compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP), Department of Defense (DoD) regulations, and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) requirements. The FSO serves as the primary security advisor to leadership and oversees personnel, physical, information, and operational security programs to ensure the protection of classified information and company assets.
Essential Responsibilities
- Administer the company's industrial security program in compliance with NISPOM and DCSA requirements.
- Manage personnel security clearances, classified visit requests, and security records using DCSA systems.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and required plans, including TCP, ECP, and Insider Threat Program.
- Serve as the primary liaison with DCSA, government customers, and contract security offices.
- Conduct security briefings, annual training, self-inspections, and incident investigations.
- Oversee classified information handling, physical security, visitor control, and access management.
- Support DCSA inspections, audits, and security reviews.
- Ensure compliance with Information System (IS) security requirements in coordination with IT security personnel.
- Manage OPSEC activities and support subcontractor security requirements.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Security, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of industrial security experience.
- Certified Facility Security Officer (FSO) or eligible for certification.
- Strong knowledge of NISPOM, DoD, and DCSA security requirements.
- Experience managing personnel security clearances and classified programs.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security management systems.
- Experience supporting government contracts and classified environments preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally.
