Facility Registered Nurse (RN)

Overview

Full-Time position at a Pediatric Day Health Center

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care for medically complex children, including assessments, care planning, and documentation.
• Implement physician orders and communicate updates effectively.
• Supervise LPNs and support staff, ensuring high-quality, safe, and individualized care.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and support families through education and counseling.
• Respond confidently to pediatric emergencies and participate in team meetings and staff training.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and collaborate in case conferences.

Qualifications & Skills

• Active RN license with strong pediatric clinical experience.
• Current BLS certification, negative TB test/X-ray, and clear background checks.
• Proficiency with ventilators, trachs, suctioning, G-tubes, IVs, oxygen therapy, and pediatric emergency response.
• Calm, organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicator with leadership qualities.

Physical & Clinical Environment

• Active, hands-on role requiring lifting, moving, and monitoring medical equipment.
• Respond swiftly to emergencies in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
• Work involves exposure to allergens and bodily fluids, emphasizing safety and responsiveness.
• Compassionate, collaborative, quick thinker, and dedicated to advocacy and family support.
