About the Role
The Facility Quality Assurance Supervisor (Product Safety) is responsible for implementing, managing, and improving the factory Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to guarantee the production of safe, high-quality products. You will coordinate and ensure factory food safety programs comply with guidelines, oversee sanitation standards, and monitor pest activity throughout the factory. This role involves guiding training and knowledge for all employees to ensure food safety practices.
Responsibilities
- Monitor pest activity, identify and implement corrective actions, and plan pest control methods and heat treatments.
- Provide leadership and direction for sanitary processes by working directly with engineering and maintenance departments on Sanitary Design of equipment and modifications prior to and during installation.
- Provide direction, coaching, and performance reviews of Product Safety department employees and contractors.
- Communicate with plant and department managers regarding the status and needs of the product safety area.
- Ensure all food safety programs in place at the factory comply with regulatory and Nestlé Purina guidelines.
- Ensure that any Foreign Material Prevention and Detection devices are inspected and controlled per corporate Foreign Material Control Guidelines.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years’ experience in manufacturing, military, or related environment.
- 1+ years’ supervisory experience in a manufacturing, military, or related environment.
- Must obtain a Pesticide Applicator and Qualified Pesticide Supervisor Certification within 3 months (90 days) from the date of hire.
Pay
The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $101,000 annually. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
