About the role
The Project Manager will manage the overall coordination of services and performance at CMI’s customer site in Des Moines, Iowa. Key responsibilities include:
Responsibilities
- Manage electrical, mechanical, fire protection & safety, BAS systems, service request desk operations and maintenance
- Meet cost, performance, and schedule requirements throughout contract execution
- Manage service requests, emergencies, and projects
- Inspect preventive maintenance procedures, identify inadequate performance, train or retrain personnel, and update the education and training manual monthly
- Oversee operations, staffing, and performance to ensure facility services meet or exceed customer guidelines
- Participate in capital improvement plans and projects, assist with day-to-day operations, and coordinate with client customers
- Oversee or manage sub-contractors, maintenance contracts, and personnel to ensure work meets or exceeds client expectations
- Measure and evaluate productivity and quality, set standards, measure performance, and develop improvement programs
- Partner with vendors to ensure reliable, cost-effective supply of supplies, parts, and equipment
- Ensure any required corrective actions comply with contract performance
Qualifications
- High school diploma, BA degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of O&M/Facilities Management type experience, including project management/supervisory roles
- Experience managing building mechanical maintenance operations for a federal facility of at least 500,000 square feet
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
